The Six week training programme
My name is Callum, I am fourteen years old and my Sport is Boxing, I have been doing Boxing for one year and my weight class is Welterweight, I do boxing on a Friday every week.
The main physical and technical requirements for boxing.
Physical
Agility – For moving about and skill of dodging.
Co-ordination – Knowing the other players moves and blocking their punches.
Speed – How fast you punch the opponent.
Power – You need to save power for speed.
Technical
Dodging – Moving away from punches.
Blocking – Moving out your arm to block the punches.
Goals
Short term goal – Improve Co-Ordination and Strength
Long term goal – Join a Boxing club.
